ECOVACS unveil new robots to take care of your home – inside and out

At CES this year we’re seeing the announcement of three new Ecovacs products, covering your floors, windows and your lawn.

The announcement today includes the DEEBOT X2 COMBO, a new Matter enabled version of the X2 OMNI robot vacuum, the next-generation WINBOT W2 OMNI window cleaner and the GOAT GX-600 lawn mower robot.

DEEBOT X2 COMBO

The DEEBOT X2 COMBO adds to the already brilliant Deebot X2 Omni, adding a handheld stick vacuum, as a combination package. The DEEBOT X2 COMBO adds a handheld vacuum to the already loaded X2 OMNI robot vacuum, mop and auto-empty station announced at IFA last year.

The Deebot X2 included in the package still offers the same squared design, able to get into room corners better, as well as the OMNI’s OZMO Turbo 2.0 mopping system which lets you transition from hard to soft floors without intervention. For this announcement though, the X2 Omni now includes Matter certification, making it ready for easy addition to your smart home setup.

The handheld stick vacuum includes an impressive 8000Pa of suction power powerful enough to capture the most stubborn dirt and debris stored in the depths of users’ homes. The Handheld Stick vacuum offers homeowners a more versatile cleaning option, with the ability to now clean in crevices, as well as furniture, stairs, your car and more.

WINBOT W2 OMNI – Robot Window Cleaner

ECOVACS are also announcing an update to their Winbot robot cleaner announced last year, with the Winbot W2 Omni coming soon.

This latest window cleaning robot offers a range of improvements including the ability to adapt to a range of window designs, ranging from floor-to-ceiling windows, small windows, frameless windows or mirrors, tilted windows and more.

The robot uses a 3-point anti-slip, anti-dust driving treads to maintain a steady roll across your windows. Using the companies Win-Slam 3.0 algorithm to map the best course across your windows, the Winbot W2 Omni avoids leaving streaks and residue behind.

For cleaning, ECOVACS has introduced four new cleaning modes: Fast, Deep, Spot, and Custom, giving you options for a quick clean, or more in-depth clean as well as options to clean spots or allows you to specify where you want cleaned.

The base station for the Winbot W2 Omni includes drop-protection functions, cord winder as well as a battery allowing you to use the robot indoors or out. It’s quiet as well, with a staggered four-partition system allowing for quieter usage.

GOAT GX-600

While we saw the launch of the first Ecovacs GOAT-G1 in September, the ECOVACS team are now launching the GX-600, their first to offer a fully automated lawn mowing system.

By fully automated, the team at Ecovacs say that the GOAT GX600 requires ‘no boundary setup or physical boundary settings, and minimal maintenance’. Instead the GOAT GX600 uses a combination of vision and SmartMove technology to mark out lawn boundaries. The SmartMove self-developed path planning technology automatically, identifys your grass, pavers or any other obstacles before mowing in the most efficient path.

Ecovacs say the GOAT GX600 can mow a 600m2 lawn fully in under two days if in efficient mode, or you can leave it to its own devices as it follows a random track to keep your lawn in check over the course of a week.

Availability

At this stage Ecovacs haven’t announced any Australian launch dates or pricing, but we’ll be sure to update as soon as it’s available.

EFTM’s Coverage of CES 2024 is made possible by the ongoing support of our regular advertisers and supporters such as Arlo, Belkin, Oppo, Motorola, Ecovacs, LG, Netgear, JBL and Trend Micro, and by additional support from Samsung, LG, Hisense, TCL, and ASUS
