Acer debuts new TravelMate laptops alongside new Smart and Gaming monitors

The annual Computex trade show in Taipei is underway, with ACER announcing their latest range of TravelMate laptops, as well as new Predator gaming and Smart Monitors.

TravelMate

There are three new Travelmate models, the Intel Evo Edition Acer TravelMate P6 14m TravelMate P4 16 Series and Acer TravelMate P4 Spin 14 all powered with up to an Intel Core Ultra 7 processor 165H.

The TravelMate P6 14 will include Evo certification, and plenty of power with 32 GB of LPDR5X RAM, up to 1 TB M.2 PCIe SSD and a large 14-inch WQXGA+ OLED (2880 x 1800) panel with touch option. The laptop includes excellent connectivity with Wifi 7 and Bluetooth 5.3 support, and of course Thunderbolt 4.

The two new TravelMate P4 models come in two different form factors, the 2-in-1 Acer TravelMate P4 Spin 14 (TMP414RN-54) with 14-inch display, and the Acer TravelMate P4 16 (TMP416-53) in a clamshell with 16-inch  display.

Both models in the TravelMate P4 series will come with options for up to 64 GB dual-channel DDR5 SDRAM and up to a 1TB PCIe Gen4 SSD.

AI

The new range includes new TravelMate models powered by the latest processors, which of course include NPUs to power AI on Windows via the dedicated Copilot key on the keyboard. 

AI features include Acer LiveArt which helps to instantly remove the background of an

Image  and generate depth maps on 2D images, Acer PurifiedView 2.0 which improves power consumption, as well as Background Blur, Automatic Framing, Eye Contact & Acer PurifiedVoice with AI Noise Reduction to improve video calls. 

Availability

All three TravelMate models are heading to Australia later this year from Q4, though exact dates, as well as pricing haven’t been announced. 

Monitors

If you’re in the market for a new monitor, the new Acer Predator range for gamers has been announced with displays ranging from 26.5-inch to 34-inch in size. Acer has also expanded their smart monitor line up with new Acer DA1 and Nitro GA1 series monitors announced

Predator

There are three new Predator OLED gaming displays, the Predator X27U F3, Predator X32 X3 and Predator X34 X5. All three OLED gaming monitors produce brilliant colours with 99% DCI-P3 colour gamut support and true 10-bit depth to reduce image banding, support AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and are NVIDIA® G-SYNC Compatible

The Predator X27U F3 kicks off the range, it’s a 26.5-inch WQHD resolution OLED display with support for a super fast 480 Hz refresh rate, while the Predator X32 X3 is 31.5-inch ans sports a 4K UHD resolution with up to 240 Hz refresh rate. 

Lastly, the Predator X34 X5 is a curved 34-inch OLED display with UWQHD resolution, 1800R curvature for better immersion and visibility and a speedy 240 Hz refresh rate.

Acer says that both the Predator X34 X5 and X32 X3 will be available in Australia in Q4. The Predator X34 X5 will start at AUD $1,999, while the Predator X32 X3 will be starting at AUD $2,399.

Smart Monitors

There are four new monitors across the Acer DA1 and Nitro GA1 series, with 31.5- and 27-inch models designed to fit into any home setup.

The Smart Monitors use Google TV to power their entertainment hub, letting you stream content from your favourite service. All four monitors include a space-saving design to fit easily into your home. The monitors all contain dual 5W speakers for a standalone experience.

The monitors are designed for multi-mode use, as a smart monitor streaming your content, or just to extend your workspace, or become your new budget gaming option with support for up to 180 Hz refresh rate and work with AMD FreeSync and are NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible.

The new Acer DA271K and DA321QK LED monitors offer up to 4K UHD resolution, while the Nitro GA271U P and Nitro GA321QU P are equipped with WQHD resolution – with all four models supporting HDR10 and up to 250nits brightness.

Acer says the Acer DA271K and DA321QK will be available in Australia in Q4, pricing to be confirmed. No announcements on the GA series monitors at this stage.
