Pre-orders are now open for the Echo Show 5 here in Australia, with Amazon announcing their smallest Alexa-powered Echo smart display yet will land here next month.
The third generation Echo Show 5 includes a 5.5″ (960 x 480 resolution) display and comes with a tiny footprint to easily fit in your kitchen or bedroom. The compact unit is still able to display news clips, check their Ring doorbell camera, view shopping lists, follow along with recipes or easily make video calls to friends and family.
Powered by the AZ2 Neutral Edge processor, Amazon has completely re-engineered the microphone array for improved understanding of what you’re asking, and includes an improved speaker system for clearer audio.
For smart home owners, the Echo Show 5 3rd gen includes a Matter controller, allowing you to easily connect Matter-enabled devices seamlessly.
Amazon are very aware of privacy, and the Echo devices include multiple layers of privacy protection, allowing you control over your experience. The Echo Show 5 includes a manual mic/camera shutter, to let you physically disable those parts – as well as giving you the ability to delete any voice recordings.
There’s three colour options for the Echo Show 5, White, Black or a subtle Cloud Blue, all of which are environmentally friendly, using 100% post-consumer recycled polyester yarn and aluminium made from 100% recycled aluminium. The packaging is even made of 99% wood fibre-based materials from responsibly managed forests or recycled sources.
If you want to check the Echo Show 5 gen 3 out, you can pre-order now through Amazon.com.au/echoshow5, or you’ll find them in-store from July 10th for 9.
