Get the official sponsor logos on the Ayrton Senna McLaren MP4/4 LEGO set

Long time readers know I love my LEGO, and when you pair that with my passion for Formula 1 any F1 set that LEGO bring out is going to make it onto the shelf, so the Ayrton Senna McLaren MP4/4 was an easy buy earlier this year when it came out.

But there was something missing.

The original Sponsor Logos

And yes, I know, Smoking can kill you, Smoking Causes Lung Cancer – but as someone with a brain, and self control who was never ever even close to tempted by the Cigarette Advertising of the 80’s and early 90’s – just chill.

There’s no way LEGO would touch this with a barge pole, but for enthusiasts the authentic look was missing from what is a cracking LEGO set.

Enter Matts Brick Mocs and his sticker sheets for LEGO sets. For a small amount you can get the stickers made for you and shipped to you. And to his credit, he ships them in a non-bendable envelope so they are in top quality all the way through to you.

I had already built one MP4/4 – but yes, I bought two. So my son Harri built the second one with instructions not to add stickers.

Turns out, these stickers from Matts Brick Mocs go over anything existing anyway, because some of the bricks in the MP4/4 are painted with logos.

Interestingly the Shell logo words are ever so slightly different so I applied them as well.

Honestly, it looks fantastic.

And he’s now got me thinking about getting the McLaren set for the large Technic set I have:)

Enjoy!
