Acer Debuts New AI focused TravelMate, Swift and Predator PCs

Alongside announcing their entry into the Windows handheld gaming, ACER has announced their new range of AI focused TravelMate and Swift laptops alongside the powerful Predator Orion desktop PC.

There are three new Swift models being announced, with the new Acer Swift Go 14 AI, Acer Swift 14 AI and the Swift 16 AI. 

The Acer Swift Go 14 AI is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon X Plus 8-core processor with an integrated NPU that delivers 45 Trillion Operations Per Second (TOPS) of AI performance. 

The Swift Go 14 AI will be offered with a 14.5-inch WQXGA (2560X1600) IPS display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and models which include up to 32 GB LPDDR5X memory and up to 1 TB NVMe PCIe Gen 4 SSD.

The new platform will include a battery capable of up to 28 hours of use for all-day productivity.

There’s also a new Acer Swift 14 AI which is being offered with both the newly announced Intel Core Ultra Series 2 (Lunar Lake) processors, or the recently released AMD Ryzen AI 300 Series processors with AMD XDNA 2 architecture and up to 50 NPU TOPS. 

The AMD powered Swift 14 AI will include a 14-inch OLED WQXGA (2880×1800) display, with 32 GB DDR5 RAM and up to 2 TB NVMe PCIe Gen 4 storage for responsive task execution.

With the Swift 14 AI spruiking up to 27 hours of video playback, you can rest assured you’ll get at least a full days work out of it.

The new Intel Core Ultra Series 2 powered Swift 14 AI will include either a 14-inch 3K or 2K OLED resolution display, with options up to a Core Ultra 7 (series 2) CPU with up to 32GB DDR5 RAM and up to 2 TB PCIe Gen 4 NVMe SSD.

ACER are talking over 29 hours of video playback on the Swift 14 AI with Intel Lunar Lake CPUs, so you’ll get through the day easily.

The Swift 16 will include a 16″ 3K OLED touch display with edge-to-edge glass and is  powered by up to a Core Ultra 9 (series 2) CPU, with up to 32GB DDR5 RAM and up to 2 TB PCIe Gen 4 NVMe SSD.

The Swift 16 includes a big 75Whr battery, so we’re keen to see how long this one lasts when released.

SWIFT Availability

Acer will launch the Swift Go 14 AI in Q4 2024, starting at AUD $1,399. 

The Acer Swift 14 AI with AMD Ryzen processor will also be available in Australia in Q4 2024, starting at AUD $2,799. The Acer Swift 14 AI powered by the new Intel Lunar Lake CPUs will be available in Australia in Q1 2025, starting at AUD $1,899.

The Acer Swift 16 AI will be available in Australia in September 2024,

starting at AUD $1,999.

Travelmate

Also announced is the new TravelMate P6 14 AI, powered by the new Intel Core Ultra processors (Series 2) and including either a 14-inch WQXGA+ or WUXGA display option with 16:10 aspect and 82% screen-to-body ratios.

The TravelMate P6 14 AI includes up to an Intel Core Ultra 7 processor (Series 2) and ARC Graphics, with up to 32 GB DDR5 RAM and up to 1 TB M.2 Gen4 SSD. 

Travelmate P6 14 AI

Aimed at commercial organisations, the TravelMate P6 14 AI will offer custom workflow and security capabilities with Acer’s suite of on-device AI-powered tools.

ACER says the new TravelMate P6 14 AI will include a 65Wh 4-cell Li-ion battery, with fast charging that can last up to 14 hours.

ACER have advised that they are still working out pricing and availability for the TravelMate P6 14, with details to be released closer to launch. 

Predator

Last to be announced is the new Predator Orion 7000 desktop powered by Intel next gen processors and paired with up to RTX 4090 graphics cards, the Orion 7000 is ready for all your gaming needs.

Featuring state-of-the-art thermal cooling including a Predator CycloneX 360 system fan and a CPU liquid cooler, the Predator Orion 7000 desktop will stay super cool, even when operating at the highest settings. 

The Desktop will be offered with up to 128 GB (32GB*4) Dual Channel DDR5 RAM with storage options of up to 4 TB HDD, 6 TB PCIe M.2 NVMe SSD and an SSD swap slot for expansion.

ACER is also including Thunderbolt 4 USB Type-C ports on-board, with Wi-Fi 7 included to give you fast wired and wireless connectivity.

Predator Availability

If you want to check it out, ACER says the Predator Orion 7000 (PO7-660) will be available in Australia in Q1, 2025 starting from AUD$7999.
