Dell announces two new Snapdragon X Plus laptops and a new XPS 13 with a next-gen Intel Core Ultra Series 2 processor

At IFA 2024 Dell has launched their latest lineup of AI PCs with another XPS 13 version, this time powered by the next-gen Intel Core Ultra Series 2 processors, and two PCs with new Snapdragon X Plus 8-core processors.

The new Dell AI PCs are designed to bring not just increased performance to the consumer but also improved efficiency to enhance productivity of content creators, business professionals and everyday users wherever they are, at home, in the office or out and about.

XPS 13

The Dell XPS 13 has long been recognised as one of, if not the, best 13-inch Windows laptops going around. This new Dell XPS will be powered by the new Intel Core Ultra Series 2 processor inside their thinnest XPS, providing more power and efficiency than ever. The chipset includes a dedicated NPU capable of up to 48 TOPS allowing for advanced AI capabilities including text and image creation and faster photo and video editing.

More and more software programs are making use of these AI capabilities so to have the ability to perform these tasks efficiently on-device. The XPS 13 is the first laptop in the world to arrive sporting a tandem OLED display which delivers higher brightness and a longer battery life than the more traditional OLED display.

The new XPS 13 will have a battery life of 26 hours of streaming with a FHD+ display which is impressive if true — you can be sure we’ll be testing that out given the chance.

Inspiron 14

The Inspiron 14 is one of the two new laptops sporting the Snapdragon X Plus 8-core processor which features an integrated GPU and NPU that delivers an impressive 45 TOPS. It sports a 14-inch FHD+ display and features voice commands throughout the system for easy navigation and use.

Latitude 5455

The slim Latitude 5455 is Dell’s other new Copilot+ PC laptop powered by the Snapdragon X Plus 8-core processor, this time in a rugged build. The laptop has passed military-grade testing for added reliability and has a built-in Trusted Platform Module to protect your data onboard.

This business laptop will deliver not just fast performance thanks to the new chipset but also up to 27 hours of battery life. Once again, the Snapdragon X processor can perform up to 45 TOPS for AI and machine learning commands. The dual speakers also take advantage of the on-board AI with AI noise reduction with the 16:10 FHD+ display allowing for quality viewing.

Look out for these new Dell laptops coming to Australia in the next few months.
