Amazon has announced you can now purchase the upgraded Echo Show 15 in Australia.
The new Echo Show 15 features a brand new display, a 15.6-inch 1080P display, which brings brand new functionality. Now, you can access all your usual Echo Show smart home activities and watch FireTV shows.
With FireTV built in, the new Echo Show 15 now functions as a centralised entertainment hub and includes a remote control to allow you to stream over 250,000+ movies and TV episodes from all your favourite streaming platforms. The FireTV widget on the display gives you personalised video recommendations in addition to quick access to your favourite FireTV apps (including Apple TV, Netflix and YouTube).
As you would expect, the Echo Show 15 retains its smarts. It includes Matter, Thread and Zigbee protocols for easy connectivity, allowing you to seamlessly control all your smart home devices and check live camera feeds all from the location of your new Echo Show 15.
The camera in the new Echo Show 15 has also been upgraded, with it now capable of 3X zoom and a wider field of view, allowing the auto-framing camera to capture more in the video. Noise reduction is also present to filter out background antics (of pets, kids, etc.) and allow the caller on the other end to hear you clearly.
The camera includes a built-in manual shutter, and you can delete any voice recordings from the device itself, all to allay any privacy concerns you may have.
Those who have watched the new Netflix doco (Buy Now: The Shopping Conspiracy) on electrical and tech waste will be delighted to hear that the new Echo Show 15 is made of 41% recycled materials and includes a Low Power Mode to reduce energy consumption. The packaging is also “made of wood fibre-based materials from responsibly managed forests or recycled sources.”
The upgraded Echo Show 15 is available now from Amazon.com.au/echoshow15 for AU$549.00. Additionally, the Amazon Premium Adjustable Stand, for flexible placement of the Echo Show 15, is available at Amazon.com.au for AU$169.95.
