The OPPO Find X8 Pro is available in Australia — finally another OPPO flagship!

It has been a long two-and-a-half years for those of us who love OPPO smartphones to wait for OPPO to bring their flagship X series smartphones back to Australia. The wait is over, and the announcement has come that the OPPO Find X8 Pro is available in Australia now!

The OPPO Find X series garnered many fans over the years. These smartphones offered one of the best smartphone camera systems in the world alongside best-in-class hardware, all at a relatively affordable price. The Find X8 Pro continues this tradition with an RRP of $1,799.

OPPO has heard our calls for the flagship series to once again grace our shores, with OPPO Australia Managing Director Michael Tran saying: “We’ve heard the demand from our Australian users in the last two years to bring our flagship Find X Series to local shores, and we’ve listened. We’re proud to announce that the OPPO Find X8 Pro is now officially on sale in Australia.”

The Find X8 Pro pushes the envelope even further (than before). With cutting-edge AI features that simplify everyday tasks and elevate smartphone photography, powered by OPPO’s own AI algorithms and our ongoing partnership with Hasselblad, the Find X8 Pro is truly setting a new global benchmark for excellence.

Just as previous generations did, the Find X8 Pro is set to be one of the best smartphone cameras on the market. It features an all-new Hasselblad Master Camera System featuring a 50MP quad camera setup. A 135mm (6x) periscope camera and a larger 23mm wide-angle camera are included.

There is also a second periscope camera with a flagship 50MP Sony LYT600 sensor, which promises to deliver exceptional low-light performance. The second periscope camera results in a system that offers gapless zoom for improved clarity.

OPPO has continued developing its AI camera since the last time we saw it, now including AI Telescope Zoom to deliver high-quality images at 60x magnification.

Lightning Snap is a new feature on the Find X8 Pro. It allows users to capture a burst of photos at up to seven frames per second without any decrease in image quality. Lightning Snap can be accessed by long pressing on the capture button or by using the “Quick Button,” a new touch-sensitive strip on the phone’s right side that quickly launches the camera and controls zoom.

OPPO is once again leading the pack with its silicon-carbon battery tech and charging solutions. Its big 5910mAh battery promises multi-day usage. Charging will be a breeze thanks to the 80W SUPERVOOC charging and 50W AIRVOOC wireless charging.

The OPPO Find X8 Pro debuts ColorOS 15, offering smooth performance and advanced AI. OPPO states that the new Luminous Rendering Engine speeds up touch response by 18% and improves stability by 40%.

The camera system includes many AI features, including AI Eraser, AI Clarity Enhance, AI Unblur, AI Reflection Remover, and OPPO AI Studio for post-processing your photos. The AI Toolbox includes other AI features, including AI Summary, AI Speak, AI Reply, and AI Writer.

OPPO has also included Google’s Circle to Search and Google Gemini Assistant to make your everyday tasks easier.

Hardware-wise, the OPPO Find X8 Pro sports a 6.78-inch 120Hz LTPO AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 1600 nits. The bezel is just 1.9mm in size, meaning the front of the device is almost entirely screen, as OPPO has been doing for many years.

The OPPO Find X8 Pro is available in Space Black and Pearl White now at JB Hi-Fi and OPPO Australia’s Online Store for RRP $1,799.

OPPO accessories also available for purchase include:

  • OPPO AIRVOOC 50W Magnetic Charger at RRP: AUD$129
  • OPPO Find X8 Pro Fantasy Prism Magnetic Half-Pack Case at RRP: AUD$45
  • OPPO Find X8 Pro Aramid Fiber Magnetic Case at RRP: AUD$79
