New MINI Convertible – Perfect for the Aussie lifestyle

A convertible in Australia – sounds perfect. Beautiful Summer days rolling along the beach, or out in the bush – as long as you slip-slop-slap then the new Mini Convertible might be the perfect car.

Following the update of the Mini model range over the last year or so the Convertible completes the set for Mini and it’s all new design and build generation.

The convertible fold-down roof of the new Mini opens fully in just 18 seconds so you won’t get caught out, and it can be retracted at up to 30km/h.

And, being a four-seater, there’s room for your mates too.

“We are very proud to offer our customers a true convertible in the current MINI family. Our new MINI Cooper Convertible offers unmistakable, hallmark driving fun, coupled with boundless freedom and great emotions: Always Open. Iconic design combined with modern technology and connectivity make this vehicle an unrivalled experience for our customers,” says Stefan Richmann, Head of the MINI brand.

If you need boot space, the roof can fold down on top of the boot, or it can be fully retracted into the boot space.

Key to the new Mini family is the all new – huge – centre OLED display which gives you loads of info, as well as weather based wallpapers that adjust to the real-time conditions.

Go-kart like handling is what they promise, in the C, S and performance versions, with the choice of three advanced two-litre petrol engines for the new MINI Cooper Convertible. All have four cylinders and accelerate the fun of open-air excursions.

The new Mini will be available from early next year in Australia.
