LG and will.i.am announce the new xboom speakers at CES 2025

Last last year we saw LG partner with will.i.am of Black Eyed Peas fame to transform their xboom brand.  Today at CES 2025 they have unveiled the first “xboom by will.i.am” audio products with compact designs and a balanced audio profile.

The new “xboom by will.i.am” line includes a series of smart Bluetooth speakers, the xboom Bounce, Grab, and Stage 301.  These speakers use AI Sound to analyse the media being played and adjust the sound to suit it, switching to options that accentuate the melody, rhythm, or voice.

The speakers also include AI Lighting, which pulses the multi-coloured lights for an added ambience while listening to music. AI Calibration also calibrates the speaker to the size and shape of the space it occupies to fill it optimally.

The new “xboom by will.i.am” speakers also includes a dedicated button to instantly connect users to the will.i.am’s RAiDiO.FYI platform to enjoy content tailored to each user by, you guessed it, AI.

The xboom Bounce is the flagship of the lineup, combining audio quality with a stylish design.  It includes built-in, up-bouncing passive radiators, dual dome tweeters and a track-type woofer to deliver high-frequency stereo sound with precise notes and an expanded soundstage.

The xboom Bounce includes a strap to help you hold it securely or hang it in a convenient location and comes with IP67 water and dust resistance, and Military Standard 810G durability.  Rounding out the features, the Bluetooth speaker’s battery will last you a whopping 30 hours of continual playback.

The xboom Grab is designed to be used anywhere thanks to its compact, travel-friendly design combined with a powerful sound.  It includes dual passive radiators positioned on both sides of the speaker for dynamic bass and is small enough to easily carry around in your hand.

It can be used upright, on its side, or even inside a camping chair’s cup holder. It also comes with straps for securing it to your arm or hanging it over a hook. It has a water—and dust-resistant IP67 rating, Military Standard 810G durability, and up to 20 hours of battery life.

The xboom Stage 301 is designed to transform any space into your very own soundstage.  Ideal for busking, karaoke or any indoor or outdoor gathering, the speaker packs a powerful punch.

It incorporates a 6.5-inch woofer and dual 2.5-inch midrange drivers to create its powerful, well-balanced sound with rich bass.  It comes with a built-in handle to make carrying easy and a wedge to allow you to set it up almost anywhere, anyhow.  The xboom Stage 301 has an IPX4 water resistance and a replaceable battery which will give you 11 hours of playback

The xboom Buds use lightweight graphene drivers to give a durable earbud that delivers pure, well-balanced sound with rich bass.  They include LG Active Noise Canceling technology and LE Audio Auracast to “enable users to listen to open audio streams in public and permit multiple device connections so that several users can simultaneously enjoy the same audio.”

With an ergonomic design, the earbuds offer comfort and stability in the ear thanks to their unique ear hook design.  With the support of the charging case, the xboom Buds offer 30 hours of playback and an IPX4 water resistance.

Australian pricing and availability are yet to be determined but keep an eye out for all these new speakers from LG and will.i.am releasing in the coming months.
