Wacaco shows off their electric portable espresso maker

Visiting massive international trade shows such as CES, it’s always refreshing to come across a brand known and used by Australian’s. So when I saw the Wacaco stand, I knew I needed to see what new thing in coffee they were bringing to the market. This year it’s the Pixapresso, their first compact, electric portable espresso maker.

For many coffee drinkers, they love the value of being able to prepare and take a coffee on the run and the Pixapresso is designed to make that choice both tastier and more convenient. The design is sleek and intuitive, while the Pixapresso allows users to control the brewing settings like hot water temperature and pre-infusion.

The fundamental difference between the Pixapresso and other portable espresso makers out there is the ability to brew coffee with both ground coffee or rely on the convenience of coffee pods. The Pixapresso is compatible with Nespresso pods.

The product is still in final production, with an exact release date to be announced soon. Expect Australian availability later this year.
