ASUS unveils new ROG 2025 range for Australia

ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) has announced the new wave of 2025 gaming machines announced at CES earlier this year, are now available to pre-order in Australia. 

The new ASUS ROG Flow Z13 2-in-1 is available in-stores today, while the rest of the range, including the ROG Strix Scar 16/18, ROG Strix G16/18 and ROG Zephyrus G14/G16 will be available in April. Featuring the AMD and Intel processors, as well as NVIDIA GeForce RTX graphics, the new range offers options for all gamers.

ROG Flow Z13

The 2-in-1 ROG Flow Z13 tablet/laptop has been redefining portable gaming since it was announced in 2022. It’s been a great device and has been updated for 2025 with a next-gen AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor and RDNA 3.5 Radeon 8060S graphics.

There’s 1TB of M.2 gen4 SSD storage included with up to 32GB of DDR5 RAM available. The tablet includes a 2.5K resolution 16:10 aspect ratio ROG Nebula touch display which is Pantone validated and has a 180Hz refresh rate.

The CNC machined aluminium unibody chassis has improved cooling including a stainless steel vapor chamber, and 2nd gen Arc Flow fans. There’s plenty of connectivity, with Type-A and Type C USB ports, as well HDMI out. There’s a kickstand capable of 170° of range on the rear, letting you position it comfortably.

The 70Wh battery promises up to 10 hours of usage, while a 100W charger will top you up from 0% to 50% in under 30 minutes when you need it.

ROG XG Mobile eGPU

Serious gamers can also look forward to the latest ROG XG Mobile eGPU which now supports Thunderbolt 5 offering faster transfers and more. 

The XG Mobile will support a range of RTX GeForce graphics all the way up to the RTX 5090 Laptop GPU.

The chassis for the eGPU has been redesigned, with a new (very cool) off-black semi-transparent look which lets you see the components inside. 

The new lightweight design isn’t just for looks, including a stainless steel vapour chamber ensures efficient cooling without unnecessary bulk. The XG Mobile can also act as a docking station, taking advantage of that Thunderbolt 5 connection. The chassis also features a range of ports including dual USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A ports, HDMI® 2.1, DisplayPort™ 2.1, 5Gbps Ethernet, a UHS-II MicroSD reader, and an extra Thunderbolt 5 port.

The eGPU is perfect for adding gaming capabilities to any laptop and it’s available to pre-order from today – with prices ranging from $2,499-4,999, with stock arriving in early April. 

ROG Strix 2025

The new ROG Strix range includes the new Strix SCAR 16, Strix SCAR 18, Strix G16, and Strix G18. 

The new Strix series offers serious gamers some serious features including full-surround RGB lighting for that classic gamer look. The STRIX series also features a tool-less bottom panel allowing for easy upgradability, and there’s an advanced cooling inside with an end-to-end vapour chamber.

All four new models will be available with up to an Intel Core Ultra 9 processor 275HX, while the Strix G16 and Strix G18 will also be available with AMD options up to a Ryzen 9 9955HX3D (G16) and 9955HX (G18).

Strix SCAR

The new Strix models include up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPUs, and a range of DDR5 RAM and a range of storage options to suit everyone.

The ROG Strix 2025 range will feature up to 2.5K resolution ROG Nebula displays with mini-LED displays on the Strix Scar range, and IPS-level panels on the Strix G16/G18.

Strix G16/G18

ASUS is stepping up the gamer aesthetic with the Strix Scar this year with a brand new chassis design featuring full-surround Aura RGB and the AniMe Vision array. 

You’ll see the new ROG Strix range launching in Australia from April.

ROG Zephyrus 2025

The new 2025 ROG Zephyrus lineup, includes the Zephyrus G14 and G16 powered by AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 or Intel Core Ultra 9 285H processors and up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU. 

Featuring an ultraslim look, with enhanced cooling, the ROG Zephyrus G14 and G16 use a refined heatpipe design, with 2nd Gen Arc Flow Fans included that ASUS says make the system 23% more efficient. 

These premium laptops will include options for up to 64GB LPDDR5X-7467MHz, and storage will be available up to 2TB on the G14, while the G16 will be able to stack up to 4TB of M.2 gen 4 SSD storage. 

The laptops include premium 3K resolution OLED ROG Nebula Displays with a super fast 240Hz refresh rate.

Just like the rest of the range, the new Zephyrus 2025 range will be arriving in April.
