Amazon launches new Wi-Fi 7 routers options with new eero 7 range

After launching their eero Max 7 router last year, Amazon is today expanding their Wi-Fi 7 router options, with the release of the new eero 7 and eero Pro 7.

Both routers support eero’s TrueMesh, TrueRoam, and TrueChannel technologies, bringing the advantages of Wi-Fi 7 including  improved throughput and capacity as well as reduced latency to your home network.

Priced from $299.99, the eero 7 offers Amazon’s most affordable Wi-Fi 7 routers, with multi-gigabit speeds in a compact form factor, while the eero Pro 7 delivers a more premium Wi-Fi 7 experience offering fast wireless and wired speeds and starts at $529.99.

For existing eero users, Amazon says the new eero 7 and eero Pro 7 are ‘backward compatible with all previous generations of eero device’, letting you easily expand or upgrade your eero network.

They can also be used with the optional eero Plus service, which adds ‘advanced online security features and parental controls’ including apps like 1Password, Malwarebytes and Guardian VPN – though this service costs $159.99/year or $15.99/month.

The recently redesigned eero app will help you expand or upgrade your network, letting you add or remove access points as well as manage the network, pause the internet, share network details with friends or guests, and more, all from your phone.

eero 7

The eero 7 offers dual-band (2.4GHz/5GHz) Wi-Fi 7 performance with fast wired and wireless options. It comes in a compact form factor that can sit unobtrusively to get the best signal without looking out of place.

The eero7 supports up to 1.8Gbps wireless for 120+ devices, and up to 2.3Gbps through the dual 2.5GbE ports. The eero 7 is available in either a single, or triple pack, with the single unit covering up to 190 square metres, while a three-pack covers up to 560 square metres.

The eero 7 is available from today for $299.99 for a single eero 7 or $649.99 through Amazon.com.au, and leading retailers including JB HiFi and Officeworks.

eero Pro 7

Thee eero Pro 7 offers a more premium Wi-Fi 7 experience, with the tri-band (2.4Ghz\5GHz\6GHz) router able to offer high bandwidth connections for streaming content, playing online games, and working from home, and the capacity to connect all their devices.

The tri-band system improves performance providing more spectrum for devices to connect, avoiding congestion with other nearby networks.

The eero Pro 7 can deliver fast wired and wireless performance, with wireless speeds up to 3.9 Gbps for up to 200+ devices, and wired connections up to 4.7Gbps through the dual 5 GbE ports.

The eero Pro 7 features a fan-less design, with advanced cooling to keep it silent and limit dust build-up, letting it do its thing in the background.

The eero Pro 7 is priced at $529.99 for a single unit or $1,199.99 for a 3-pack through Amazon.com.au, leading retailers including JB HiFi and Officeworks.

Jacqueline Lipman, APAC Managing Director, eero said

“We are excited to bring advanced performance to Aussie homes through our expanded eero range. Whether customers prioritise affordability or premium features, our lineup meets every household’s needs – from powering home offices and streaming across multiple devices to staying connected with family overseas. As connectivity becomes increasingly essential for Aussie consumers, the new eero 7 and eero Pro 7 help simplify everyday life by delivering reliable connections in our complex digital world.”
