LASER release Australia’s first LiFePO₄ powerbanks through their sub-brand Chargecore — lighter, longer lasting and safer

Australia’s very own home-grown consumer electronics company, LASER, has launched Australia’s first range of powerbanks, the SafeCharge Max, featuring the new LiFePO₄ (lithium iron phosphate) battery technology under its Chargecore sub-brand.

The new LiFePO₄ technology delivers a safer, longer-lasting battery that outperforms the lithium-ion alternative powerbanks. The LiFePO₄ is thermally stable and non-combustible, eliminating any risks of overheating or fire, making it perfect for travelling. The new battery technology is also lighter than previous technologies and can charge to 85% in under 90 minutes.

The new SafeCharge Max is designed to last on average five times longer than the standard powerbanks, with a lifespan of up to 5,000 charge cycles. LiFePO₄ contains no cobalt, nickel, or lead, making it more environmentally friendly and easier to recycle at the end of its life cycle. The technology results in a power bank that charges faster without any drop-off in performance over time.

The new SafeCharge Max by ChargeCore is available in 20,000mAh, 10,000mAh, and 5,000mAh options, as well as various colours. Ideal for frequent flyers, students, professionals and outdoor enthusiasts, the powerbanks can be purchased at Laser.co and Harvey Norman.
