Navman has launched its 2025 range of dash cams with the “first-ever three-camera dash cam,” and several of last year’s mid-range models have been upgraded to full 4K resolution.
The new three-camera dash cam is the MiViue True 4K Pro Surround, which provides not just front and back coverage but also side impact vision. The comprehensive dash cam includes three cameras situated in just two physical units.
Front recording is captured at 4K Ultra HD 2160P with a new 8MP sensor to capture finer detail. The rear unit captures the back of the vehicle with its rear-facing camera and the inner cabin and sides are captured by a front-facing camera in this rear unit. It accomplishes this thanks to the front-facing ultrawide 170-degree camera.
Combined with a SmartBox (sold separately—$59 plus installation), the MiVue True 4K Pro Surround can also monitor the surroundings while parked with smart and low-power parking modes, front and rear event recording, and side motion detection. Of course, there are still real-time safety warnings, including speed and school zones, and Advanced Driver Assistance System Warnings for improved vehicle safety.
Navman is also adding true 4K technology to its mid-range products with two new dash cams, priced to be affordable for many. The new MiVue True 4K and MiVue True 4K DC deliver true 4K 2160P Ultra HD footage at 30fps with cutting-edge STARVIS technology and an 8 Megapixel sensor. Both dash cams arrive with a 64GB microSD card, making them even better value for money.
Navman is also introducing a new entry-level model, the MiVue 270 Safety. It features true 2.5K Quad HD recording at 30fps through its 4MP sensor and 140-degree wide-angle lens. It includes forward collision warnings, lane departure alerts, and driver fatigue monitoring for trips over two hours. All footage is GPS tagged for precise location data. Optional parking protection can be added with the separate purchase of a SmartBox.
Lastly in the new Navman products for 2025, is the MiVue Rider DC Helmet Camera. As you may have expected, this ‘dash cam’ is designed to be worn on the motorcyclist or scooter rider’s helmet and provides front and rear vision.
The helmet camera snaps onto the helmet with a secure mount. Sensors pick up when it is attached and automatically begin recording. The battery provides for 4.5 hours of use. The camera is IP67-rated and records in true 2.5K 1440P Quad HD at 30fps. This camera offers a way for motorcyclists and scooter riders to capture evidence should anything happen to them on the road.
The Navman MiVue range of dash cams is available from all leading electronics retailers and on the Navman website www.navman.com.au. All dash cams in this new range come with a two-year warranty with local service and support.
