Want a dream photography gig thanks to Fujifilm? Apply now!

Fujifilm Australia has today announced three photography gigs for not just professional photographers but also enthusiasts. The gigs allow these creators to get paid for capturing their experiences at the Australian Fashion Week, Mount Kosciuszko, or Opera Australia with the new Fujifilm GFX100RF digital camera.

Photography enthusiasts and professionals are encouraged to apply to attend one of the three unique photography experiences.

  • Australian Fashion Week 2025 runway show: go behind the scenes at the Romance Was Born runway show with an exclusive media pit pass and capture the entire event.
  • Mount Kosciuszko: Are you a thrill-seeker with a passion for capturing stunning landscapes? This gig will require the photographer to capture the beauty of Australia’s tallest mountain as well as a unique aerial photography experience by helicopter.
  • Opera Australia’s The Marriage of Figaro: Capture one of Mozart’s classic comedies, The Marriage of Figaro, before the opening night.

To enter into the competition to get one of these gigs simply submit your portfolio and a 150-word summary on why you should be hired for one of Fujifilm Australia’s FX gigs. Winners will be kitted out with the new GFX100RF camera to capture their assigned event and be paid for doing so.

One of the most rewarding aspects of my role at FUJIFILM Australia is watching our creator community thrive. Their creativity and passion for visual storytelling continue to inspire us, and we’re always seeking new and innovative ways to further support their craft.

We’re thrilled to launch the GFX Gigs series and offer these incredible experiences to our community. Whether it’s capturing the breathtaking landscapes of Mount Kosciuszko, chasing the buzz of a high-energy fashion show, or documenting Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro—there’s something for everyone.

Each GFX Gig will be shot with our new GFX100RF camera. With its stylish, lightweight design, 35mm fixed lens, and large format sensor, it’s the perfect camera for our gig photographers to continue pursuing their craft!”

Shaun Mah, General Manager of the Electronic Imaging & Optical Devices Division at FUJIFILM Australia

If you are a photographer of note, whether professional or enthusiast amateur, head over to the Fujifilm website now to apply for the gig of a lifetime.
