It’s been a year since HMD struck out on their own, moving forwards from the Nokia branding they championed. Today they’re launching their latest phone, the HMD 2660 Flip, a chance to digitally detox and look good while doing it.
The retro design of the HMD 2660 Flip looks great in three colours: Cosy Black, Twilight Violet, and Raspberry Red, but offers a simple, stylish solution to let you switch off and digitally detox – along with that ability to snap the phone shut when you’re done.
There’s a 1.77” QVCA front display for notifications, and a 2.8’’ QVGA display inside, which isn’t a touch display, with all input through the keypad on the lower deck which includes a T9 dialler to let that muscle memory get back in action.
It’s a practical phone though, with features including Bluetooth 5.0 for connecting wireless headphones – which is great because it comes with an MP3 Player and FM Radio built-in, as well as 128MB storage on-board with support for microSD cards up to 32GB.
There’s a 0.3MP camera on the back, which includes an LED flash you can use as a torch at night.
There’s up to 8 hours of talk time on the HMD 2660 Flip, with a removable 1,450mAh battery you can also swap any spares you purchase in and out when required.
Brenden Folitarik GM of Australia and Oceania for HMD said of the phone
“The HMD 2660 Flip is a bold answer to always-on culture, pairing a sleek, mirrored clamshell design with just the essentials. It encourages you to shut the lid, silence the noise, and reconnect with what really matters”.
You can purchase the HMD 2660 Flip from today for 9 through JB Hi-Fi and it will be coming soon to other retailers.
