Australia’s top-rated mobile plan providers revealed

Canstar Blue have announced the winners of the 2025 Most Satisfied Customer Awards with ALDI Mobile, Moose Mobile and Vodafone each receiving a Most Satisfied Customer award, while ALDI Mobile has also received the award for the Most Trusted Provider.

Some real insights were gained into the thoughts of mobile customers in this country from the Canstar Blue survey which had contributions from more than 8,500 respondents.

The winners

ALDI Mobile continues it’s winning streak as this is the sixth win for the telco in the Most Satisfied Customer category but it’s first time coupling it with the Most Trusted Provider gong.

Big 3 Telco Vodafone won in the category of Best Phone on a plan and smaller player Aussie owned and operated Moose Mobile won in the Best postpaid SIM only category

In a sign that Aussies are well and truly back into travel a new category of best Travel sim was taken out by relatively newcomer Airalo. Showing there are still high level of customer support for traditional mobile companies, Apple won an award for the best mobile trade-in services

Canstar Blue’s Utilities Editor, Tara Donnelly, says, “Receiving a top rating for customer satisfaction from thousands of Australians is no small feat, so a big congratulations to this year’s Most Satisfied Customer awards for mobile plans.”

The survey

With all these great deals available in the marketplace, including those offered by the award winners, it is interesting to note that although almost half (48%) of respondents stated that they were payng more for mobile service year on year, 89% of them admit they haven’t done anything about it. No doubt this lethargy is music to many telco’s ears, especially those that have a large market share, predominantly due to them being one of the original telcos.

A staggering 10% of those who knew they could save money by changing said they could “not be bothered”

We could understand the apathy when it was a real punish swapping providers but nowadays switching is easy and can be achieved in minutes. Maybe it’s a dirty little secret the big guys don’t want you to cotton on to as if that perception is maintained the status quo will remain and profits will stay large.

The bottom line is it is easy to switch and you could save a significant amount of money without losing any coverage. There really is no excuse not to explore your options
