Samsung has today announced their next generation tablets series, the Galaxy Tab S11 and Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra with the latest Galaxy AI and Operating system along with support for a new Desktop and redesigned S-Pen.
“The Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra combines AI innovation with refined hardware to deliver a true multitasking experience that reflects Samsung’s deep experience in mobile productivity,” said Jay Kim, Executive Vice President and Head of Customer Experience Office, Mobile eXperience Business at Samsung Electronics. “With the latest Galaxy AI and new multimodal capabilities, these flagship tablets enable ultimate efficiency – empowering users to work, create and flow more naturally across a versatile, large screen.”
One of the popular buzz-words in Ai right now is “multi-modal” which basically means it’s not just text inputs, in the case of the Galaxy Tab S11 it can take text, voice of vision prompts using the camera and even real-time screen sharing.
This is all enabled by Google’s Gemini Ai, incorporating Gemini Live right into the device with the side button a trigger to get going with AI.
In terms of tablets, it’s actually a whole lot better device for this kind of AI, give you could be looking at study notes or charts and use AI to help understand what’s on your screen. The larger format has long been desirable among students and business people using it for note taking, annotation and general productivity.
Speaking of which, an enhanced “DeX” which is Samsung’s desktop software version of Android that enables when you connect to a monitor, but now with a new extended mode you can use both the monitor and tablet screens at the same time, dragging and dropping across screens as one large desktop.
Launching in two models, the Galaxy Tab S11 and S11 Ultra, both are slim and sleek designs, with the Tab S11 Ultra measuring in at just 5.1mm, with just 5.2mm bezels around the screen.
AMOLED screens provide a stunning display, with 1600 nits of peak brightness for use in all conditions.
Samsung has also started partnering with App companies like Goodnotes, Clip Studio Paint, LumaFusion and Notion to bring the best app support to Android and Galaxy Users. Some of these apps come with free trials or passes for users.
Galaxy Tab S11 series also come with the newly designed S-Pen which looks far more like a traditional pencil with a hexagonal design, and has a new cone shaped pen tip for increased tilt-angles.
