Swann announces 2 new cameras in their EVO range

Swann has announced two additional cameras in their popular EVO range. The EVO Wireless 2K Security Camera and the EVO Wireless 2K Solar Security Camera.

Swann has recognised that a growing number of consumers baulk at a subscription model and have developed these two new cameras to not only capture footage in high resolution but to store that video locally.

Both the EVO Wireless 2K and the EVO Wireless 2K Solar Security Cameras capture the security video on SD cards and customers can access their important recordings at home or on-the-go via the Swann Security App. Neither models require an additional hub

Both new models capture recordings at 2K resolution and are powered by long-life rechargeable batteries with the higher model sporting a built in solar panel to eliminate the need for manual recharging

What is also nifty about these two cameras is what Swann call “True Detect” heat and motion sensing, using the technology to reduce false alarms when detecting humans, vehicles and movements.

Alex Talevski, CEO of Swann, said: “Home security shouldn’t be reserved for the tech-savvy or those willing to pay expensive installation costs or monthly subscriptions. Our EVO 2K  wireless range is about putting smart home protection and peace of mind in everyone’s hands. Whether you’re renting, a first-home buyer, or simply looking for a no-fuss solution, these cameras make connected security achievable without the complexity or cost that usually comes with it.”
