Sennheiser has announced the launch of the HD 500 BAM, a boom arm microphone that transforms their HD 500 headphones into gaming headphones like never before.

The new HD 500 BAM will work with a wide variety of devices, including laptops, desktops, consoles, and some mobile devices, and will connect to both new and legacy Sennheiser models. The Sennheiser HD 500 BAM features a 10mm electret condenser capsule with a cardioid pickup pattern for improved voice clarity. This design allows the microphone to reject nearby noise that would otherwise pollute the gaming experience.

The new HD 500 BAM mic enables gamers to use a single headset for all their needs, eliminating the need to juggle headsets for different purposes. The microphone features a 4-pole 3.5mm plug with CTIA wiring and includes an in-line volume control with a mic mute switch along its 1.5m cable.
