Uniden Australia has unveiled its new SOLO X2K home security camera range, with both wired and wireless options with varying functionalities – something for everyone.
The flagships of the new range are the SOLO X2K PT Pro Kit and SOLO X2K 4G Pro Kit. These wire-free and solar-powered cameras offer non-stop 24/7 continuous recording with adaptive frame rates, thanks to the support of Uniden’s OnWatch Technology.
“Australians are demanding smarter, simpler, and more affordable ways to keep their homes safe. The SOLO X2K Series delivers just that. Our new solar-powered Pro Kits introduce OnWatch Technology, offering continuous 24/7 recording in a wire-free design,” said Brad Hales, Head of Marketing, Oceania at Uniden
The SOLO X2K PT Pro Kit is a 100% wire-free outdoor pan-and-tilt camera with a solar panel. It features 2K Super HD resolution recording, colour night vision, two-way talk, AI alerts, and weatherproofing. The solar panel is included in the box, along with a 32GB microSD Card.
The SOLO X2K 4G Pro Kit is also a wire-free camera with 4G-enabled pan and tilt, and features a solar panel and intelligent motion detection. With 4G connectivity, it is ideal for locations without Wi-Fi and comes complete with a solar panel and a 32GB microSD card.

The new range includes AI intelligent alerts which use AI to distinguish between people, vehicles and other to reduce false notifications. All cameras in the SOLO x2K range arrive with Uniden’s free 7-day rolling cloud backup for the life of the camera and a 32 microSD card in the box for local storage.
