Xiaomi is now officially in Australia offering phones, tablets, watches and more

We have a good mix of mobile vendors here in Australia, but more choice is better for us as consumers, so there’s a bit of excitement as Chinese tech powerhouse Xiaomi enters the Australian market officially.

There’s been a number of unofficial Xiaomi launches, as well as some tentative steps through stores like JB Hifi previously, however this is the real deal, with the company opening an official Australian store through their mi.com/au domain.

The launch in Australia will see a wide variety of products available for sale, ranging from their popular REDMI series tablet and watch, through to the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum X20+, HyperCharge Power Bank,  Xiaomi Smart Band 10 and more – including the launch of the Xiaomi 15T Series phones.

Jephix Liu, Director of Go-to-Market, Xiaomi.

“We are launching in Australia with what we believe is our most compelling product lineup to date, headlined by the groundbreaking Xiaomi 15T Series. The partnership with Leica on this series is a game-changer, putting professional-grade mobile photography within reach of more Australians than ever before.”

The Xiaomi 15 T series includes the Xiaomi 15T priced at 9, while the Xiaomi 15T  Pro comes with a few extras and is priced at

,299 – though there’s launch discounts currently available before the offical launch tomorrow.

Xiaomi is offering different storage options on both phones, with either 256GB or 512GB available – and 12GB of RAM on both models.

The phones include LEICA branded camera features , with both phones including a 50MP main sensor and 12MP Ultrawide on the rear, as well as a 50MP telephoto sensor, with a 2x zoom on the 15T, and 5x zoom on the 15T Pro – and both include a 32MP front-facing camera is embedded in the 6.83” display.

You can find the full range of gear over on their website, and there’s a few specials, as well as bonuses like additional points for their rewards program. If you’ve ever been interested in the Xiaomi line of devices it’s a great time to try.
