It’s hard news for gamers, but Rockstar Games have announced that our return to Vice City in the highly anticipated game Grand Theft Auto VI, has now been delayed a second time.
The game was originally supposed to launch at the end of this year, with Rockstar announcing earlier this year the game had been delayed until May 26th. Rockstar have released a new announcement with November 19th 2026 as the new date for the launch.
The Rockstar Games announcement, much like the last announcement, has focused on a need to delay to achieve the quality of game we’ve all come to expect from a Grand Theft Auto release, saying:
“We are sorry for adding additional time to what we realize has been a long wait, but these extra months will allow us to finish the game with the level of polish you have come to expect and deserve.”
It’s not great news, however gamers are definitely keen to avoid situations like the CyberPunk 2077 launch, which, while it’s now a great game, was a nightmare at launch.
Of course Rockstar could go a long way to mollifying fans with releasing a new trailer, with the 2nd trailer now six months old – just saying!
Still, it looks great and we can’t wait to get back to Vice City. The game will (now) launch on Xbox Series X|S and Playstation 5 on November 19th 2026.
