Samsung unveils the AI-powered portable projector, the Freestyle+ ahead of CES 2026

Ahead of CES 2026, Samsung has unveiled the Freestyle+, an AI-powered portable projector designed to personalise the user’s experience in a variety of spaces.

The Freestyle+ offers next-generation AI capabilities from the previous Freestyle iteration, along with increased brightness and additional features.  This allows for quick and easy setup, so the user can be up and going with minimal fuss.

“The Freestyle+ reflects Samsung’s vision to create displays that adapt to how people live and move between spaces,” said Hun Lee, Executive Vice President of the Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics. “By combining true portability with AI that optimises both the viewing environment and the content itself, The Freestyle+ makes it easier to enjoy a consistent, high-quality experience wherever you are.”

AI OptiScreen is one of the headline features.  This is Samsung’s AI-powered screen optimisation technology that adjusts the picture to suit the space it is projected onto.  The backbone of the AI OptiScreen is the 3D Auto Keystone to correct distortion; Real-time Focus adjusts focus as the projector moves or rotates; Screen Fit adjusts the picture to match the screen area; and Wall Calibration minimises visual distractions by analysing the colour and pattern of the projection surface.

The Freestyle+ is a compact cylindrical form factor, making it easy to move from place to place.  Its 180-degree rotating design allows the projection to fit the space you are in.  This flexibility enables the Freestyle+ to be used virtually anywhere.

The Freestyle+ features a built-in 360-degree speaker that delivers rich, immersive sound, and it can work with compatible Samsung speakers via Q-Symphony.

Global rollout is expected in the first half of 2026.  At this stage, local pricing and availability are unknown.
