Blink expands its 2K camera lineup with the Blink Outdoor 2K+

Blink, Amazon’s affordable security cameras, has today announced the expansion of its 2K camera lineup with the Blink Outdoor 2K+.

The Blink Outdoor 2K+ can obviously capture video at 2K resolution (2560 x 1440), allowing the user to discern fine details within the video feed.  The video feed can be zoomed by up to 4x without losing “crucial visual information.”

It can capture colour vision in low-light conditions, and when the light gets even lower, it switches to an infrared black-and-white image.

Thanks to Blink’s custom silicon chip technology, the new Outdoor 2K+ can provide up to 2 years of battery life (at 1080p resolution) and a weather-resistant IP65 rating, allowing the camera to operate in virtually all conditions year-round.

An optional Blink Subscription plan can also be purchased to deliver smart notifications for person and vehicle detection.  Using edge processing, it can filter out false alarms caused by moving branches or animals.

The Blink Outdoor 2K+ is now available in black and white for $119.00AU for a one-camera system including a Sync Module Core. For local storage, use the Sync Module 2 with your own USB drive. With a Blink Subscription Plan, access unlimited cloud storage for motion events and live view recordings for up to 60 days.
