Buskers to bands, JBL’s Bandbox Solo and Trio offer AI sound isolation

Audio maker JBL has announced they’re getting the band together – launching their AI-powered portable speaker and smart practice amp: Bandbox.

JBL is launching the Bandbox Solo and Bandbox Trio featuring AI-powered real time vocal and instrument separation, JBL’s signature sound tuning, and built-in effects and practice tools.

Aimed at musicians from beginners through to experienced players, Bandbox Solo includes one guitar/microphone input, making it perfect for individual musicians, buskers and more, while Bandbox Trio includes four instrument inputs, making it ideal for small bands, jam sessions, or duos who want to perform together without the need for a full setup.

Both the Bandbox Solo and Bandbox Trio include JBL’s ‘Stem AI’, which includes intelligent vocal and instrument separation, letting you isolate vocals or instruments from any track in real time – all on the speaker.

The Bandbox Solo and Bandbox Trio both support streaming music services, with the Stem AI able to step in so you can learn your favourite song.

JBL’s One unlocks a load of potential, letting you choose between vintage and modern amp models giving you options to apply classic effects including phaser, chorus and reverb, without any pedals, even letting you choose a preset, or create your own for future playback.

The app also lakers you apply loops, as well as letting you play around with layering and includes a pitch shifter and tuner to ensure you’re always in key and on pitch.

The JBL BandBox was engineered with one goal: to meet the exact needs of musicians and blending it with cutting-edge technology. And here it is! The JBL BandBox is the first-ever speaker to feature the revolutionary on-device Stem AI algorithm – it’s right there, inside the speaker! This groundbreaking tech can instantly isolate and remove vocals or instruments from any song, all without needing the internet or the cloud. This is a massive leap forward. It makes practicing, making progress, and jamming with friends or solo easier than you ever thought possible,

If you want to get your hands on the JBL Bandbox Solo or  Bandbox Trio when the amp/speaker combo goes on-sale online from the 15th of February exclusively at jbhifi.com.au and jbl.com.au.
