Hot Wheels Legends Tour is returning to Australia – Turn your car into a collectors item

Do you love your car? Is it a classic, vintage or a maybe a modern, dare I say it, EV?

Hot Wheels is giving you the opportunity to have your car immortalised by transforming it into a 1:64 die-cast model as part of the “Garage of Legends” collection

This is a chance to have your car model released worldwide making you the envy of your mates.

Entries are now open for the Australian and New Zealand leg of the tour. Hot Wheels have partnered with Repco and The Warehouse to find a car to be the next Garage of Legends winner and they will assist judging on three main criteria, Authenticity, Creativity, and Garage Spirit.

The competition is open to a wide range of builds, from classic restorations and muscle cars to wild customisations and one-off creations.

The winners will be announced at a live finale down under, the first in this region.

2023 Winner from New Zealand. The Mazda MX-5 ‘Chimera’,

Paul Faulkner, Senior Vice President and Managing Director, Mattel Asia Pacific, said: “Bringing the Hot Wheels Legends Tour to Australia and New Zealand recognises the strength of automotive passion and creativity across our region. We saw that clearly when a New Zealand build reached the global finals in 2023, proving our local talent can compete on the world stage. Launching our first live regional finale is an exciting milestone – we can’t wait to crown our next Hot Wheels legend.”

So get started thinking about your entry. Should it be classic, modern, out-there or conservative or just a regular accurate representation of your favourite car?

More details to be announced soon so keep an eye out at the Mattel website
