Spotify is adding guided workouts and classes to their ecosystem, including on-demand workouts from Peloton

Spotify is expanding its offerings into the fitness space with a new category of guided workouts that will sit alongside the rest of their ecosystem which includes music, podcasts, audiobooks, and video.

Both Free and Premium users will be able to access curated playlists as well as content from “established” wellness creators such as Yoga With KassandraCaitlin K’eli YogaSweaty Studio, Chloe TingPilates Body By RavenAbi Mills WellnessSophiereidfit and more. While they may be “established” wellness creators, be careful who you listen to, because not all “established” creators offer sound advice grounded in science and research.

Peloton is also available to Premium users in Australia, granting access to its catalogue of over 1,400 ad-free on-demand workout classes from some of Peloton’s most popular instructors. This is a huge addition to premium users’ usual subscription, and having used Peloton’s on-demand classes extensively in the past, I can say they are well-researched, well-taught, and a fun way to experience fitness—with friends! These classes include strength, cardio, yoga and meditation workouts and do not require any specialised equipment.

With over 150 million fitness Spotify playlists active worldwide, it is clear that Spotify users are into fitness – in fact, nearly 70% of users work out monthly. This was showcased recently when Spotify’s new Prompted Playlist feature was released, and fitness and workout content was among the top use cases.

For nearly two decades, Spotify has been the soundtrack to the world’s workouts,” said Roman Wasenmüller, VP, Global Head of Podcasts. “Today, we are expanding Spotify to become a true daily wellness companion. By bringing thousands of creators and partners like Peloton directly into our video and audio ecosystem, we are investing in a future where Spotify isn’t just where you spend your time—it’s where you go to build momentum, improve your wellbeing, and get more out of every day.”

To access the new features in the Spotify app, search “fitness” to access the Fitness Hub and explore the classes and curated playlists. Check it out in your Spotify app now.
