Sennheiser announce the much-anticipated MOMENTUM 5 Wireless headphones promising better sound quality than ever

Sennheiser has announced today the MOMENTUM 5 Wireless, the successor to its immensely successful MOMENTUM 4 wireless headphones, offering an even more immersive sound with its best noise-cancelling and battery life ever.

Equipped with the same 42mm transducer as the MOMENTUM 4 headphones, the MOMENTUM 5 Wireless delivers a “full-bodied sound with dynamic bass.”  Arriving with Hi-Res Audio certification and Snapdragon Sound technology featuring Bluetooth codec support up to aptX Lossless, promising to deliver the Sennheiser fence-straddling audiophile-quality sound at a consumer-friendly price point.

The new MOMENTUM 5 Wireless offers truly immersive sound thanks to its new active noise-cancelling system, which is “three times more effective at reducing voice chatter.”  It does this by using twice as many microphones per side, now four, making it even better at reducing sound such as the droning of an aeroplane engine and cabin noise.

Sennheiser will deliver updates continually to the new headphones, including updates to the DSP and wireless engines, and the unlocking of Dolby Atmos with head-tracking.  With Bluetooth 5.4 support, the headphones will be updated to Bluetooth 6.0 via a future firmware release. All this will result in even further improvements in sound quality.

The new MOMENTUM 5 Wireless sports a user-replaceable 700mAh battery, delivering up to 57 hours of battery life with ANC engaged!  After several years of impressive battery life, the battery can be easily replaced with a small Phillips-head screwdriver, delivering even more years of long battery life.

The Sennheiser MOMENTUM 5 Wireless will be available in Black, White, and Denim colourways, with an RRP of 9 AUD and 9 NZD.  Pre-orders start on June 26 via au.sennheiser-hearing.com, JB Hi-Fi, Harvey Norman and selected authorised retailers nationwide.
