MSI show off the Claw 8 EX AI+, its new generation premium Windows 11 gaming handheld

At Computex 2026, MSI has unveiled the Claw 8 EX AI+, its “next generation” gaming handheld, the first gaming handheld to be powered by Intel Arc G3 Extreme processors, running Windows 11.

The new platform from Intel has been optimised specifically for handheld gaming, delivering significant graphics improvements and a focus on power efficiency for long AAA gaming sessions.  The new platform delivers high frame-rate gaming with improved smoothness and responsiveness.

The Claw 8 EX AI+ features an 8-inch 120Hz VRR display along with ergonomic grips for comfort during long gaming sessions.  Gaming is enhanced with Hall-effect triggers and sticks, a responsive D-pad for greater precision and a new linear motor for a refined haptic feedback.

The new handheld includes a new ‘intuitive XBox Mode’ for quick game launching and seamless resuming of saved games.  

The premium Claw 8 EX AI+ sports a bold Void Purple colour will be available later in the year and pricing will be available closer to launch date.

At Computex 2026 MSI also announced:

  • The new Titan 18 HX Dragon Edition Draco Epic is a desktop-replacement gaming laptop featuring the Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU with 24GB of GDDR7 memory.
  • New premium AI productivity laptops within the MSI Artisan Collection
