The Build Is Out There: LEGO Announces Massive 1,478-Piece X-Files Set

LEGO have announced their latest nostalgia fueled set, with the X-Files getting the brick treatment in a new 1,478-piece set launching next month.

The set has come from the user-generated ‘IDEAS’ community and is themed around an Alien abduction and also includes Mulder’s iconic messy office – with both dioramas able to be displayed separately or together.

The office includes all the things you want to see including the ‘I Want to Believe’ poster and of course a nod to those large, bright Xenon powered flashlights that always seemed to be used.

LEGO have included all your favourite (and not-so favourite) characters including eight mini-figures: Fox Mulder, Dana Scully, Walter Skinner, Mr. X, Alex Krycek, Carl Busch, The Flukeman and a grey alien.

To promote the set, LEGO has also gotten Gillian Anderson on board, even getting her to do a neat mini-film tribute video:

The set is available for pre-order now for 9.99 AUD through the Lego website and will go on-sale on August 1st for LEGO Insider members, or on general sale from August 4th.

While you can buy now, you may want to wait with LEGO announcing a pre-order bonus with sets ordered between August 1st – 10th receiving ‘The X-Files: Scully’s Lab (40896)’ as a Gift with Purchase – which of course comes with a ‘while stocks last’.
