Bose has announced today the successor to its best-selling noise-cancelling headphones, the QuietComfort Headphones (2nd Gen). It incorporates a new, modernised design but still encompasses the product’s renowned comfort and noise cancellation.
Available for pre-order tomorrow from Bose.com.au for $549.95 and at select retailers from August 8; general availability commences on 13 August. The new QuietComfort Headphones (2nd Gen) will be available in Black, White Smoke, or three new limited-edition colours: Eucalyptus Green, Dewdrop Mint and Rosewood Mauve.
The new QuietComfort Headphones still feature Bose’s high-quality sound and digital signal processing technology, but now include three new Bose Immersive Audio modes for a stereo listening experience from any audio source.
These modes are:
The new second-generation QuietComfort Headphones feature an improved design that allows listeners who wear glasses or have long hair to enjoy better noise-cancellation performance, thanks to adaptive feedforward controls and a six-microphone system that compensates for any gaps in the earcup seal.
The second-generation QuietComfort Headphones have a new headband design with adjustable sliders and plush synthetic leather cushioning which, when combined with the optimised clamping force, deliver a comfortable listening experience.
The physical buttons on the earcups allow easy control of media without needing to access your phone or device every time.
The headphones support Bluetooth Core 5.4 with multipoint connectivity along with USB-C functionality for two-way audio listening. A USB-C-to-3.5 mm cable is also included for compatibility with analogue sources, such as in-flight entertainment systems.
With up to 24 hours of listening time and a quick 15-minute charge that delivers another 2.5 hours of playback, the battery will last through even the longest flight.
The Bose QuietComfort Headphones (2nd Gen.) are available for pre-order tomorrow from Bose.com.au for 9.95 and at select retailers from August 8; general availability commences on 13 August.
The new QuietComfort Headphones (2nd Gen) will be available in Black, White Smoke, or three new limited-edition colours: Eucalyptus Green, Dewdrop Mint and Rosewood Mauve.
