Garmin launches “Recharge Lounge” Pop-Up in Sydney for CIRQA Smart Band Launch

Sydney-siders keen to get a look at the recently announced Garmin CIRQA Smart Band will be able to go hands-on with the device, as well as enjoying some downtime at a new activation this week, with a chance to win one of the new bands.

To promote the company’s first-ever screen-free wearable, Garmin is opening a two-day activation in Sydney hosted at Sage Space, a luxury, dental wellness studio in Darlinghurst this Wednesday 12th and Thursday 13th of August.

The experience will start with a 10-minute guided relaxation session in one of Sage Space’s state-of-the-art sleep pods, before enjoying a selection of gourmet wellness food and refreshments while exploring the band.

The smart band comes with a simple fabric band – available in four colours – that can be worn around the wrist or as an armband depending on your comfort and the activity.

The screen-free smart band encourages people to stay present in the activity, without a buzzing smartphone to distract them. It comes with up to 10-days of battery life, allowing extended wear for sleep and recovery tracking, as well as HRV (heart rate variability).

Metrics, including your sleep scores, stress levels, Body Battery energy monitoring, heart rate, skin temp, pulse ox and more are recorded in the Garmin Connect app – all without requiring an ongoing subscription.

After checking out the device, guests can scan a QR code and complete a short wellness questionnaire which will enable them to go in the running to win one of 40 free CIRQA Smart Bands. For those who don’t win, they’ll receive an exclusive 15 per cent discount code to use towards purchase.

Brenda Younes, Head of Marketing at Garmin Australasia says,

We’re excited to bring CIRQA Smart Band to Australasia at a time when more consumers are prioritising their health and wellbeing.  Combining Garmin’s trusted health and fitness insights with a comfortable, discreet design, CIRQA makes it easier than ever to stay connected to your wellness goals, day and night. The Garmin Recharge Lounge is the perfect physical manifestation of this – allowing guests to experience the benefits of rest firsthand, validated by their own real-time recovery data.

There are only 12 spots per hour available over the two-day event. To reserve your spot, you can head over to the Eventbrite page – and if you want to know more about the band you can head over to their Instagram page.
