Alongside the Google Pixel 11 devices overnight, Google has announced the Pixel Watch 5, its most advanced health and wellness device yet with a raft of new fitness and health features.
The new Pixel Watch 5 builds on the popular Pixel Watch 4 design and is available in new colours: Obsidian, Fog, Olive and Canyon. Olive features an all-new Satin Pyrite casing, while the 41 mm is available with a new band colour, Canyon.
The display is an Actua 360 domed display, protected with scratch-resistant Gorilla Glass. With an IP68 rating, the watch can go up to 50m underwater and a new, bigger battery with more efficient software and hardware to deliver up to 40 hours of battery life (45mm model).
The Pixel Watch 5 pairs with Google Health to deliver smarter insights into your health, wellness, sleep and fitness. Its advanced sensors will soon (September, 2026) be able to track blood pressure and insulin resistance trends over time. The watch will then provide the wearer with personalised, proactive help before a problem arises.
The Watch 5 can also monitor for signs of atrial fibrillation, identify signs of stress, track heart rate, breathing rate and oxygen saturation.
The Pixel Watch 5 arrives sporting Google’s biggest fitness upgrade ever, giving users the ability to track their performance in over 50 exercises, including strength and HIIT workouts, running, swimming, hiking, basketball, and more.
The Google Health app allows you to plan your strength and HIIT workouts (in September 2026), with details such as reps, weights, intervals, and more. This is then synced to your Pixel Watch 5, which actively uses audio and visual cues to record sets and rest periods.
Outdoors, Google’s best GPS can lock onto a precise signal through trails and in city centres with tall buildings. After your workout is complete, the Health app will provide reflections on your workout and its key metrics.
Sleep tracking is also front and centre on the new Pixel Watch 5, with new Bedtime Automations to help you prepare for sleep by turning off distractions. As of September 2026, while sleeping, the Watch 5 will analyse your blood oxygen levels to provide the new Sleep
Breathing Quality to help you understand how this breathing quality affects your health and recovery.
Google Health Coach on the Pixel Watch 5 will provide you with goals and targeted plans to achieve them, and take the guesswork out of recovery by combining all the sleep, fitness, and health data collected.
As you would expect, Gemini is present on the Pixel Watch 5 to deliver personalised help when you need it. The watch can use an offline Gemini to manage basic watch functions such as timers and alarms.
The watch includes safety features such as Fall Detection, Car Crash Detection, Safety Check and Emergency Sharing to keep the wearer safe.
The Pixel Watch 5 can be customised with various watch faces and bands to fit your daily fit and style.
The Pixel Watch 5 from Google is available for preorder from today and on shelves from August 20, with the 41mm starting at 9 for the Wi-Fi version and the 45mm starting at 9 for the Wi-Fi.
Google may be late to the party but they are at least bringing something significant to the finder tag market with the Google Pixel Tag.
The new Google Pixel Tag uses the massive Android Find Hub network. Simply connect the tag to your Android device and see its location in the Find Hub app.
The Tag doesn’t just work using your phone but can also work from your Pixel Watch and the
Find Hub app or ask Gemini using your Pixel Buds to locate or ring the Tag for you.
The Google Pixel Tag is small too, just 28mm wide, 46mm high, and 5.4mm thick, weighing only 11.8 grams, including the user-replaceable CR2032 coin-cell battery. It includes an IP67 rating, Bluetooth Channel Sounding, Ultra Wideband for precision finding and a built-in speaker.
The Google Pixel Tag comes in Fog colour for per single pack or 9 per four-pack, and will be available for purchase on November 11.
