The Bouncy Tee from Under Armour, the most comfortable t-shirt I’ve ever worn

Under Armour has launched a new performance t-shirt, The Bouncy Tee, designed not just to look and feel like a premium cotton t-shirt, but also to perform for hard-working athletes.

Under Armour partnered with The Bouncy Tee Grammy-nominated rapper Gunna and multi-platinum country music star Parker McCollum to show how the t-shirt can be used anywhere, be it the gym or a music studio or elsewhere – and to look good doing it.

Under Armour has achieved this with a new soft Pima cotton blend that incorporates NEOLAST fibre.  Apparently this new fibre delivers a 4-way “stretch, resilience and long-lasting shape retention.”

The Bouncy Tee is Under Armour’s most versatile t-shirt to date, designed to replace the need for separate t-shirts for different purposes – obviously change them after working out though otherwise you’ll stink.

Under Armour sent me a couple to test, and they performed extremely well, although the fit is different from other Under Armour performance t-shirts I own.  I am normally a large in most t-shirts, and although I am shrinking in my old age, I still fit well into my large Under Armour performance shirts – tight but not too tight.  

The Bouncy Tee is a regular fit, according to Under Armour, which is obviously different from what I’m used to.  If you are normally a large in a t-shirt, including performance t-shirts, I’d recommend a medium, as long as you prefer them a bit tighter and more body-hugging.  I probably should have gone for the medium myself. 

Obviously the best idea is to try it on in-store before purchasing, but if you cannot, go a size down from your usual performance t-shirt size.

Performance-wise, the Bouncy Tee did not stick to me too much.  It stayed cool during my workouts and felt extremely comfortable the whole time.  That was the most impressive thing about the Bouncy Tee – its comfort.  It was the most comfortable t-shirt I have ever worn, performance or otherwise.

Apparently the Pima cotton adds a “bounce” to the t-shirt, which helps it to remain comfortable during the workout – it moves with you.  After the workout, it still kept its shape, no matter how sweaty I got.
