Dell has today announced a new 14-inch portable, everyday laptop alongside a couple of impressive OLED gaming monitors from Alienware.
The new Dell 14S laptop expands Dell’s already impressive laptop lineup, adding a model designed for students and everyday use, and it comes in four colour options: Linen, Dusty Rose, Washed Denim and Velvet Green.
With an impressive 21 hours of battery life, the new Dell 14S is 13.5mm thin and weighs just 1.15kg, making it easy enough to carry all day at work or school. It offers two different display options: a 2.8K 120Hz display for a smooth, sharp experience, and a 2K 60Hz display for those who prefer longer battery life and a more affordable price.
Inside, you can spec it with either Intel Core 5 or Core 7 Series 3 processors, making it capable of handling the heaviest of loads. The 14S supports Windows Hello sign-in and includes two USB-C ports with power delivery, plus an HDMI port and a headphone jack.
Dell has yet to announce Australian availability or pricing, but it is expected to arrive DownUnder in the next few months.
The 32-inch screen size of the Alienware 32 4K OLED is the sweet spot for most gamers, and this monitor brings the 32-inch 4K experience to more gamers. This monitor prioritises image quality and HDR performance and works equally well for PC or console gaming.
Using RGB stripe tandem OLED technology, the AW3226Q delivers deep black and fast response times with improved colour accuracy and detail. With an infinite contrast ratio and 1,000 nits of peak brightness, it delivers an exceptional viewing experience in any environment.
For gaming, the 4K OLED 32-inch monitor shines with a 165 Hz refresh rate and 0.03ms grey-to-grey for smooth motion and minimal blur and ghosting. It supports NVIDIA G-SYNC, AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and VESA AdaptiveSync for gaming at any level.
The monitor sits on a stand with full height, tilt and swivel adjustability to help you position it wherever you want.
The Alienware 25 560Hz QD-OLED (AW2527HX) won’t arrive until next year, but this smaller OLED monitor is no slouch, with its refresh rate, clarity, and response time making it ideal for competitive FPS and esports players.
Peak brightness is 1,500 nits, refresh rate 560 Hz and grey-to-grey 0.03 ms, rounding out the specs required for a high-end gaming monitor. This is the fastest refresh rate ever in a QD-OLED monitor and will appeal to pro-level gamers.
