TCL has some tips for you to get the best viewing experience out of your TV for this years footy finals

The footy finals are here, and for those who can’t make it to the game but still want to watch, their TV at home is often the next best option.  Not everyone can afford the best TV, nor do they watch it in the best viewing environment, and TCL has tips to improve the experience.

Many games are played during the day, and unfortunately the sun can cause glare and other artefacts that affect your game-time experience.    To fix this, TCL recommends making your screen brighter so that the brightness of the TV overrides the glare – seems simple?  Because it is.

“TV blind spots can be a major bugbear for supporters at any time, but with many sporting seasons reaching the sharp end, watching without disruption matters more than ever,” says Chen. “Whether because of unwanted glare or reflections, nobody wants to get up midway through to move the TV, shut the curtains or rustle up some objects to use as shade.

““It might seem odd, but upping the screen’s brightness can really give sports fans a clearer and more vibrant picture. It cuts through the glare of the Aussie daytime sun, ensuring a sharp image while delivering a vivid display with deep, bold colours across the spectrum,” said Patrick Chen, Product Training Specialist at TCL Electronics Australia.

What if you are looking for a new TV to specifically enjoy the game?  Chen says to look for TVs with screens that have “low-reflective films and panels designed to reduce glare,” as long as they do not dull the picture.

The main thing to consider is TV glare.  Look for the above features to reduce that glare, and a peak brightness that is as high as possible.
