McDonalds Canada has created this in depth video into how they actually create the burgers used in commercials. The combination of two all-beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions on a sesame seed bun (wow, advertising works!) takes hours in a controlled environment, with every slice of lettuce, every onion slice strategically placed to make the burger look as appetising as possible. Sauces are even applied using a syringe rather than dolloped on with apathy.
At the very end, the food stylists go so far as to remove wrinkles and reposition individual sesame seeds on the bun for the perfect looking burger.
Now, if they could only do something about the taste…
