Mobee wireless charging takes a leap forward in 2013

Magic Tunes – Wireless music and wireless charging

There’s a little company which caught our eye last year at CES called Mobee who have been making innovative Mac keyboard and mouse accessories which make replacing batteries a thing of the past. At CES 2013 Mobee are taking its wireless charging solutions to the next level.

Mobee prides itself on being green, using environmentally friendly materials in its products which it designs to suit the Apple Mac ecosystem, making the Mobee products look they come direct from Cupertino.

There are two key products already on the market. The “magic charger” turns an Apple mouse into a wirelessly charged mouse, and the “magic feet” which charges your Mouse, Bluetooth keyboard and trackpad all in one device.

The Mobee Magic Feet – Chargers a Mobee enabled mouse and keyboard

The wireless charging on the “Charger” and “Feet” is now being put to new use with a couple of new products on show at CES 2013 in Las Vegas.

Magic Juice – Portable backup power for your smartphone – wirelessly charged

Magic Juice is a small battery pack which gives you extra power for your iPhone out and about. This is nothing new, there are hundreds of products providing extra battery for your smartphone. The difference with the Magic Juice is that when you get home or to your desk, you just pop it onto the magic charger or magic feet and it will recharge itself. The US retail price for the Magic Juice will be $US79.

For something different there’s the Magic Tunes Bluetooth music player  The nifty thing about this little speaker is that it has a dual wireless capability. You can stream your music to it wirelessly using Bluetooth, and it also links into the magic feet and charger to wirelessly charge the Magic Tunes. At $US99 it’s a good deal too!

Mobee Magic Link iPhone charging cable

Lastly, at CES this year Mobee has announced the Magic Link. This may seem just like any other charging cable for your iPhone, but it has one extra feature. When the device is charged it stops running current and the device stops charging. This saves you energy and money. Magic Link will retail in the USA for $US49.

All the Mobee products will be distributed in Australia by Macgear in Australia and New Zealand and we expect local pricing any day now.
