The ultimate mouse? Reviewed : the Logitech MX Master Mouse

A couple of months ago I started using a new mouse. Not normally anything worth getting too excited about – I mean, how different can a mouse be?  With this one, you have to look twice.  The Logitech MX Master Wireless Mouse is beautiful design, fantastic precision and a load of customisation.

I can’t get past the design, its got some edgy shapes around the sides to make it unlike almost any other mouse you can buy. The whole design feels enormously ergonomic as if the mouse is moulded around your hand.  That’s probably because this is targeted fairly and squarely at gamers.

Gamers need speed, precision and customisation.  What does that button do, how fast does the scroll wheel move and making the smallest movement on the desk matter.

With no removable batteries, this one is charged with a standard MicroUSB which is great, and the charge lasts a good 40 days. Just four minutes of charge gets you a day’s usage, so you’ll never be short of power.

Buttons and actions can be suited to your needs, and the thing seems to work on any surface – even glass.

But I have to say, my favourite feature is the multi-device support.  With the touch of a button on the bottom of the mouse you can switch from one PC to another – up to three devices.  So simple.

It’s probably the best mouse you can buy, and it’s well worth it – but it’s not for those of you looking for a replacement mouse at Woollies.  This is a $149.95 purchase, so you’d better take your mouse control seriously.
