Panasonic ALL sound range offers almost every source with great sound

Remember the “traditional” home Hi-Fi unit?  Box in the middle, CD player, in that, with Radio and perhaps one input, then two speakers on the side, likely on cable so they could be moved a bit – in 2016 all that comes in one box and the Panasonic
SC-ALL7CD Wireless Speaker System is a great example of it.

The new Home Hi-Fi

Powered up and ready to go, this little beauty can connect via ethernet or WiFi to your home network, enabling a range of online streaming connectivity.

Even without that though you’ve got DAB+ Digital Radio and a CD player which might seem a bit retro but consider the many people still holding onto their classic movie collection.  On board is 4GB of memory for you to store some of your CD’s for easy access at the push of a button.

With connectivity comes a whole new world, most notably through Spotify integration.

On your smartphone open Spotify, then choose devices and you’ll see your Panasonic system on the list.  One touch and your speaker is streaming independently of your phone.

And the cool thing is it works from anywhere.  Once connected, you could be at work and fire up the Panasonic speaker at home – just to freak the family out I guess.

Audio quality might not be the first thing I discuss, but that is certainly not a reflection on the quality.  It’s outstanding. For a speaker this size to deliver the full-room sound from so many sources makes it a bloody great example of the modern home Hi-Fi.

If Portability is your thing

If you’re looking for something a bit more portable then the Panasonic SC-ALL05GN might suit you too. No CD on board but still packed with network features, the real advantage here is 8.5 hours of battery life.

That plus a waterproof rating that means you can sit it bath-side and not stress because a dip in the bath quickly won’t harm it mean this one is great for the outdoor types and entertainers.

The ALL7CD is $659, while the smaller ALL05GN is $449.  The ALL7CD can be justified every day of the week, while the smaller unit seems a stretch compared to a simple high-end portable and waterproof Bluetooth speaker.

Both though are well worth a listen.
