Lost something in a cab? Now Uber connects you with your lost items

Plenty of people have left things in a cab after getting out.  Heck, I left my suit Jacket in the car which dropped me at the airport before heading to New York.  Fortunately, the driver rang me, and is holding into it for me until I’m back – not as easy for most.

If you took and Uber though, all that might be a thing of the past.

The app can’t remind you to take your things with you – but it can connect you to your lost items after you slap your forehead realising what you’ve done.

And it’s simple. You just open the Uber app, click the Menu, then Help, and report an issue with your trip.

After you then choose “Lost item” you enter your phone number and moments later your phone will ring and you’ve been connected to your driver and can arrange to get your stuff!

A bit of research from Uber shows we’re pretty forgetful people.

What about these crazy things you’d never expect to have left behind:

  • Guitar
  • Smoke Machine
  • Wedding outfit
  • Kite
  • Vacuum
  • Violin
