Epson extends the print range of their EcoTank printers with new models

The Epson EcoTank range of printers are a game changer.  Since their launch two years ago they’ve had printer buyers thinking “do I want a cheap printer that’s expensive to maintain, or pay more for the printer with very low ongoing costs”.

The concept, shared now with Canon’s “Endurance” series means you don’t replace the printer cartridges – you refill the ink “tank’.  These little tanks take the individual ink colours, and that is pumped to the print head which never changes.

This makes for a more expensive printer, but a bottle of black ink will set you back under $20 – and won’t be needed for the average user for a year or two!

The new additions to Epson’s EcoTank range now feature up to twice the page yield of previous models.

And this includes two new photo printers (ET-7700 and ET-7750) which have a more complete five colour ink system for improved quality.

Bruce Bealby from Epson Australia says of the launch “Existing EcoTank models have an ink tank design on the side of the printer. The new models in the range have integrated ink tanks on the front and clever new, non-spill ink bottles. The new range is smaller in size, better looking and more efficient with some models now boasting significantly increased page yields in the box. We are also soon to launch the groundbreaking new ET-7700 and ET-7750 A4 and A3 5-colour EcoTank photo printers – a huge bonus for people who print lots of photos.”

You can literally print thousands of pages of documents and photos in between refills.

The new EcoTank ET-2610 has enough ink to print 4,000 pages of black, and 6,500 pages in colour! The big fella in the lineup the ET-3700 will do 14,000 pages in black and 11,200 pages in colour.

For the photo printer, the ET-7700 and ET-7750 have enough ink capacity to print up to 14,000 pages black and 9,000 colour or thousands of 4” x 6” photos.

And for ease of use, the actual tanks are now positioned at the front of the printer so their fill-levels are easier to see in all office and home environments. The full range of EcoTank printers is now:

  • ET-4750 – $699
  • ET-3700 – $549
  • ET-2750 – $499
  • ET-4500 – $499
  • ET-2700 – $449
  • ET-2650 – $449
  • ET-2610 – $399
  • ET-7700 – $799
  • ET-7750 – $999
