Samsung’s full 2019 TV range revealed – pricing and availability

We already know Samsung’s 8K TV range and pricing for Australia with that being announced just weeks ago, this morning their full range including their premium QLED TVs for 2019 are priced and ready for market.

The 2019 range is a distinct enhancement over the 2018 range with improvements in picture quality and unique Samsung features.

Glare is reduced dramatically with an anti-glare technology is featured on the Q80 and above which is quite suitable to Aussie lounge rooms where bright windows shine into our lounge rooms.

There’s HDR10+ and what Samsung is calling “Ultra Bright Technology” to manage the contrast and colour of the picture.

The Q80 and above QLED TVs also feature a new Wide Viewing Angle which makes sitting on an angle to your TV a much better experience, as opposed to the “Sweet spot” viewing from front and centre.

In terms of Smarts, the RU8000 model and above in the 2019 Samsung TV range will work with Bixby, Google Assistant, Alexa and Apple Airplay (Later this year)

There’s also the Apple TV app coming which will give users access to their own iTunes Movie library, the Apple TV service and the just announced Apple TV+

And finally, Ambient mode has been enhanced with new image options, more information options and new themes to make the TV more adaptable to becoming a decorative part of your lounge room.

Jeremy Senior, Head of Consumer Electronics at Samsung Australia said: “Our 2019 home entertainment range has been designed for Australians who want the best combination of picture and sound quality, smart TV capabilities and design.

“Samsung Electronics has been the world’s number one TV manufacturer for 13 consecutive years. During this time, our TVs have continued to raise the bar in an effort to deliver the best in home entertainment.

“Big screen TVs have become the norm in many Australian homes and with bigger screens comes the need for clearer, more detailed pictures. We need to continue to deliver a premium picture quality to match the size of these televisions. We’re excited to be the first to bring 8K technology into Australian homes through our QLED 8K range delivering detail, depth and immersion like never before.”[

“We believe in offering Australians choice by providing a range of solutions so they can pick the one best suited to their lifestyle,” said Senior. “Whether that’s choosing between 8K and 4K, selecting their favourite voice assistant, or exploring what content to settle into after a long day.”
