Nokia 6.2 and 7.2 refresh HMD Global’s mid-range lineup

Alongside their ‘Classic’ range of handsets, HMD Global has refreshed their mid-range phones overnight with the announcement of the Nokia 6.2 and Nokia 7.2 handsets.

The Nokia 6.2 and 7.2 share a similar design which includes a 6.3-inch FullHD+ resolution display that has a tiny tear notch and takes advantage of Nokia’s ‘PureDisplay’ technology which can display up to 1 billion colours.

The body of the phones are essentially identical, with the rear of the phone housing a fingerprint sensor and a triple rear camera array using ZEISS optics.

Under the hood, the phones diverge again with the Nokia 6.2 using a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor, while the 7.2 will use the SD660.

Both phones will run Android One version of Android 9 (Pie) which includes up to 3 years of security and feature updates.

European pricing for the phones have been announced with the Nokia 7.2 priced at €299 for the 4GB/64GB model, and €349 for the 6GB/64GB model in Cyan Green, Charcoal, and Ice (white). The Nokia 6.2 will be sell for €199 for 3GB/32GB and €249 for 4GB/64GB model in Ceramic Black or Ice (white).
