New Porsche Panamera hits Australia packed with extras

With a price tag that ranges from $199,500 up to $409,500 I think Porsche would argue they’ve covered all their bases with the new Panamera lineup due to hit showrooms from December this year.

And that lineup also contains an E-Hybrid model smack bang in the centre of the range – the Panamera 4S E-Hybrid priced at $292,300.

I’ll leave it to the car crowd to tell you about the 3.7 second 0-100 capabilities of that one, along with the Dynamic Chassis Control, Active Suspension and 2.9l V6 bi-turbo now shipping in all markets. But you’ll probably pine for the V8 bi-turbo in the GTS:)

For me, this is a win on a couple of fronts outside of electrification.

Wireless Apple CarPlay – tick.

Plus, as standard, over and above the previous Panamera model, Porsche Australia are fitting the following:

  • LED Matrix headlights
  • Power Steering Plus
  • Seat Ventilation in teh front
  • Lane Change Assist
  • Head-up display
  • Soft Close Doors
  • Ioniser on the E-Hybrid and
  • 18 Way Adaptive sports seats

The bottom line is, the base model will be a cracker.

Porsche threw the Panamera Turbo S around the iconic Nürburgring Nordschleife with a time of 7.29.81, a new record in the “Executive Cars” class.

Executive by looks, Sports by performance – I think that’s exactly what Porsche were aiming for with the Panamera.

Here’s the Australian pricing for the new Porsche Panamera:

  • Panamera – $199,500
  • Panamera 4 – $209,700
  • Panamera 4 Executive – $219,200
  • Panamera 4 Sport Turismo – $217,000
  • Panamera 4S E-Hybrid- $292,300
  • Panamera GTS – $309,500
  • Panamera GTS Sport Turismo – $316,800
  • Panamera Turbo S – $409,500
