From a category perspective this is a Gold Award. Alongside Best Lifestyle, Best Car this is Best Tech.
I loved the Q950 from the first time I saw it at Samsung HQ in Korea last year.
8K resolution, yeah good, but not why it’s an award winner.
8K Upscaling, amazing, and certainly a factor.
Object Tracking Sound – wow, thats impressive technology which takes what you get built into a TV to new levels.
The real crowning glory here is Samsung’s ability to ram all this into a package that has almost no border.
It would be 1mm at most, a line around the screen. And in a lounge room that makes a massive difference to your viewing experience.
The Samsung Q950 is $11,000 or so, which is why it couldn’t be our “Best TV”.
