After showing off their consumer range prior to the start of CES, Lenovo is today announcing their first business machines of 2021, focusing on emerging business tech.
Their announcements today focus on the 14-inch Yoga Slim 7i Pro laptop which now comes with the option of an OLED display, and the ThinkReality A3 Smart Glasses to connect to your PC or smartphone.
The Yoga Slim 7i Pro OLED offers the same great hardware of the Yoga Slim 7i Pro though jit now has the option to include a 16:10 aspect ratio, 2.8K (2880 x 1800) 90Hz OLED panel.
The OLED version of the laptop is built to the same Intel EVO certification as the LCD model, with certification expected in Q2. Like the LCD version, the OLED model includes the latest 11th Gen Intel Core “Tiger Lake” mobile processors with Intel Iris Xe graphics, or up to NVIDIA GeForce MX450 discrete graphics. They’ll also include options for up to 16GB RAM and up to 1TB PCIe SSD storage.
You get a Windows Hello certified IR webcam for secure login, and plenty of ports including dual USB Type-C ports with support for Intel Thunderbolt 4, Power Delivery 3.0 and DisplayPort 1.4. You also get a USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 port and an Audio Combo Jack.
Lenovo hasn’t announced availability or pricing for the 14-inch Yoga Slim 7i Pro (OLED version), so we’ll have to get an update later in the year.
Building on work Lenovo have done over the past few years in the Virtual and Augmented Reality fields, the ThinkReality A3 Smart Glasses are ‘One of the most advanced and versatile enterprise smart glasses to come to market.
The ThinkReality A3 Smart Glasses come in PC Edition or Industrial edition, and connect to a PC or Android phone (Industrial Edition) via USB-C cable. The glasses offer a number of use cases from ‘virtual monitors and 3D visualisation to Augmented Reality (AR) assisted workflows and immersive training’ says Lenovo.
The glasses are powered by the Qualcomm® Snapdragon XR1 Platform and feature stereoscopic 1080p displays which can present up to 5 virtual displays to the user. There’s an 8MP RGB camera on board to provide up to 1080p video and dual fish-eye cameras provide room-scale tracking.
Lenovo Australia has yet to confirm local availability and pricing for the ThinkReality A3 Smart Glasses but you can check out the ThinkReality A3 web page to find out more.
