The new NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 Series powers into even more gaming laptops

It has been a big week for PC and gaming announcements and part of the new offerings is some new NVIDIA GeForce RTX-powered laptops from various vendors. The GeForce RTX-powered laptops bring NVIDIA’s Ampere architecture which includes Tensor cores to even more consumers.

The GeForce RTX chips are designed to fit into the small space of a laptop while offering some mouth-watering performance. These new laptops announced are apparently twice as fast as the previous generation machines and are capable of pumping out 60 fps games at a 1080p resolution — of course the games need to support this for full compatibility and capability. Games supported at this stage include Minecraft RTX, Call of Duty and Black Ops Cold War.

NVIDIA say that there are now “five times more RTX 30 Series gaming laptops that are thinner than 18mm compared with previous generation RTX systems.”

Along with the announcement of new RTX-powered laptops NVIDIA has also announced that the new laptops will support 144+ fps and sub-25ms system latency in some game such as Overwatch and Rainbow Six Siege with their NVIDIA Reflex Low Latency mode. NVIDIA Reflex is supported across the entire RTX 30 Series lineup.

The new GeForce RTX 30 Series laptops with GeForce RTX 3080, 3070 and 3060 are available now from manufacturers such as Acer, Alienware, ASUS, Dell, Gigabyte, HP, Lenovo, MSI and Razer. Laptops with the RTX 3050 chip will be available in the coming months.
